It has perished and under boosting. Has anyone replaced it with genuine audi part, if so have you got a rough price?

Cheers Bez, should be even easier for me then as I have no undertray since it broke and came off! Removed mine this morning and is in perfect clean condition, car has done 76k. I got a Rev. Made a huge difference to performance. Danny-boy Registered User. I have had my new Rev D for about 6 months, just can't get round to fitting it. My undertray is cable tied on and I have a new full fitting kit, but can't get round to it.

How long does it all take to swap the DV? You should make the time to fitting the DV!! Hey Jake you probably have midget hands!

Anyone having trouble I feel ya! Go to the parts store and pick them up. Pick up an extra extension for the future too. After working on cars for a while, you learn how to squeeze your hands into small weird places. Eventually you care less about scraping your knuckles. Will be pulling to see if it's the retromod or not soon.

Now that I know it's so easy. Originally Posted by Forge Is there a way to tell just by looking at it, without uninstalling, that it's the pistol style? And will I need any sealant? Will the revision piston style DV hold up to a tuned car, for example, a stage 2 apr tune?

I wish I knew how old the revision D was before I started. The dealer changed mine under warranty many years ago so I was sure it had an older version, when I removed it I was surprised to see it was a D.

I thought that was a fairly new version, well now I have a new one Now back to trying to solve my elusive fault code problem and broken exhaust. This thread was super helpful, thanks guys! I agree that you'll need a small socket wrench My 5mm allen socket is slightly longer than a regular socket, so I didn't really need an extension.

But the small wrench is key. Also I echo what JPT said earlier Originally Posted by JPT. What DV does my car have? Thanks, jbain2: Jesse! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. It doesn't look like there's a lot of pressure going into that thing but blow-by on the o-ring seems like it'd be a problem. The threads aren't completely gone, it just did the "wait a second this is turning way too easy now", so it's not like it's falling out.
