It is necessary to maintain interactive activities that enhance healthy environments which can positively influence each member. Many different community games, such as playing some a round of card games , can bring people together, since in a community, there are different beliefs, cultures, religions and other various aspects that make room for some disconnect between members in the society.
Community games play a vital role in helping to create a cohesive society, since people will come together to support their heroes or when looking for fun activities. Free multiplayer Games help people learn how to follow rules, which goes a long way in instilling individual discipline. There are many community events that bring people together, such as sports games like athletics, rugby, football, board games and more. Online community games have some simulated benefits that aid in transforming certain individuals in the society.
Online community games introduce members to their local heroes, favorite games , and help them to understand things better in real life. In each community, there are different levels of skills. My favorite is Scramble Words. It brings me lots of benefits: quick thinking, vocabulary recall, increased vocabulary, and I will not forget that it helps me with typing and muscle memory. My last tip is the most important one: all the sets are not equal in difficulties and a difficult one makes me learn so much more!
Poor score but a more nimble mind. Soldier on! I don't worry about others' high scores, I just try to beat my best score. Kids and grandchildren! The mini-crossword puzzle often has some clever clues - and you get reward points for completing it. I try to use all 6 of my tiles on each round, especially early in the game. There are a total of tiles for the game.
Both sides start with 6 tiles each, with new tiles added after each turn to replace the ones used. I figure if I use more tiles than my opponent the computer , it increases my odds of getting more high value tiles and getting them faster. Also, forming longer words early in the game creates more options for word-building on each subsequent turn. It also helps you reach the edges of the board faster where there are lots of high value squares.
And a really long word can cover two triple word squares! Such as QI or XI for a double-word score. I try to use words that are good roots for building on later. You can build on it over multiple turns:.
If your opponent builds on your word, try to leverage that and build an even longer word. Pay attention and keep learning, everywhere, not just in the game. For example, I noticed an old-fashioned verb tense while reading and realized that I could add T to lots of verbs. Any hints? I enjoy doing the crossword puzzles. My tip for maximizing your score on the crossword puzzles is to fill in the answers for the clues that you are pretty sure are right before you make a guess on the ones that you are not sure of.
You lose points for guessing the wrong answer and many times the correct answer is easier to figure out when some of the letters are already filled in from the clues for the words that intersect with the answers that you are not sure of.
I will never get the highest score but I enjoy trying to increase my own score. Great post! That's under the menu top left on most crosswords , usually the top or second option. Some crosswords usually the cumulative have that option under "Check" third from right ; "Autocheck" should show Off. Playing games daily increases your speed and accuracy. On days that notice I respond slower, I recognize that I'm tired or frazzled and I give myself some extra kindness.
Having a daily indicator that makes you think about yourself is helpful, and doing the puzzles daily has so many other benefits, including having fun. Type with two hands when doing the crossword puzzles. I wish that I had taken typing class in school 40 years ago lol. While I think most kiddos now learning "keyboarding" earlier now, this is yet another reason that should be encouraged, don't you think?
While touch input is pretty prevalent now, that doesn't work so well with crosswords, so I always use keyboard for those. Try to enjoy yourself when your electronic partner with six HCP bids a three card suit twice. Use all the strategies you have to win, but know that even when you lose, you're still winning. Think of all the cognitive benefits you get from playing games:.
You're also learning a lot that you didn't know before! Adaptation is something many folks have a hard time accepting. Daily Crosswords are my games of choice. For "Let's Crossword" I hit "skip" when the crossword loads and play alone a bit more challenging.
I've found that if I fill in some sections of the crosswords using the across clues and other sections using the down clues, my score improves even if it takes a bit longer to navigate the grid.
Classic Solitaire requires paying attention and making sure all the moves were made. If you miss one this can cause a problem especially with the 3 draw. For me 3 draw is more of a challenge than 1 and it is more exciting.
Thanks to everyone who has posted so far--we're seeing some great tips here! My gaming technique advice is to play games that used to be available only on Arcade machines like Atari- Asteroids. It brings back so many memories and you get to travel through time!
If the board is tight and I have only a few tiles left, I scan across and vertically to see where the best score will be for those tiles. Making 2 words in one play usually scores much higher than just making one word. So scan the board carefully to see where that can be done. Any game with words is a winner with me! I've been a Scrabble addict for years and love a "tight" board. I hoard my "S" tiles for flexibility and try to think ahead.
The computer's use of "S" often seems less than strategic, in my opinion. My favorite little known word is "cwm", which I learned from another Scrabble addict many years ago, and actually was able to use it recently.
Although I don't rank in the upper tiers of scoring, I rarely lose to the computer. My tip for players is that even when you've got a mish-mash of letters, use the dictionary to try combinations of the letters you have.
I've been surprised more than once that I've been able to play a word with the sorriest mix of tiles you can imagine. Personal note: Back in the 's, before computers were imaginable as household items, a friend and I devised a long-distance method to play Scrabble through the mail.
Remember snail-mail? I play a few different games. I don't get anywhere near the top scores on some of them, so I set my own goals and just enjoy playing.
