Like the radio tower, it is also located in the same folder as the other pod-related models. It was intended to be a tool used for sticking stuff together, as seen in early gameplay. In the final game, simply holding down the X button will glue an object. It appears light blue in-game. A scrapped character who probably would have been used to explain the objectives of levels.

Not much is known about them, but in some early footage [2] they drop from the top of the screen and say "The person with the most sponges wins". A death animation associated with the Electricity Hazard, where Sackboy's eyes pop out before he jumps off screen. It's possible to see part of the animation by using the Hold to Retry function as you're falling into a pit of electricity, though this only shows him jumping off screen. A death animation of Sackboy choking on Horrible Gas.

While the animation does play upon touching Horrible Gas, Sackboy gets destroyed almost immediately, so the full animation never has a chance to play.

Unlike the final game, where it has 3 layers, footage from GDC shows that it could have had about The sponge on 2-Way and 3-Way Switches resembled a wooden material. In a video, it showcases a hazard titled the Freezatron.

Prolonged contact with it would cause the Sackperson to be encased with ice, and the player would have to shake the controller to get Sackboy out. The icons for some of the cinematic tracks used placeholder icons in the beta, with the icon for the Disco Divertimento Duo using a picture of some music notation.

A wine glass sticker was changed to a glass of water in the final game, likely due to alcoholic references. Notice a running theme? Though not visible in her icon, Victoria's dress has a more detailed trim on the bottom, whereas it's completely round in the final.

Her earrings and goggles are also different. Clive had a very different set of face textures in this build. These were all changed to make his face more consistent. His head texture originally had a version of the Factory Symbol sticker on his face, but this was removed in the final game.

Higginbothem's icon shows him with crazier eyes that were toned down for the final game. The final game also adds bits of hair that cover his ears.
