Weight Watchers may be a great program for some individuals, but it can be costly, especially for those on a budget or who may feel cheated to pay for a diet plan. Adding up Your Points. Go through the chart below and allot yourself the appropriate number of points in each category or step. Then add them up and that is the points you are allowed to consume daily. For example, if I were a woman who is 40 years of age, who weighs pounds and is 5. This weight loss program is not a weird diet fad as you are actually eating healthy meals most of the time.

Weight Watchers has a proven track record of helping dieters lose weight for over 40 years and has an amazing support group. It has been running successfully since the 's and has helped many, many people lose weight and adopt healthier, happier lifestyles. Unlike some of the fad diets that are about, no food is off limits. It teaches you how to make healthy, informed choices about what you eat.

Since being on my WW journey, I have very seldom felt like I have been on a 'diet'. I still eat pizza, I still eat dessert, I just now know moderation and what to do to offset that pizza and dessert so I'm not putting on weight. If you are still umming and ahhing about starting the WW plan, why not just give it a go. Try it for a month or even a couple of weeks and see what you think. Zero Point foods don't have to be tracked or measured as they are generally foods that will fill you up and are less likely to be over eaten.

Yes, you may still lose weight if you eat loads of fruit and yogurt etc but maybe it will take a little longer than if you eat Zero Point foods more sensibly. Good examples of this are these Spiced Chickpeas and this Fluff. Although technically you do not need to track them, eating multiple servings of them during the day would probably not be sensible if you want a consistent weight loss!

You just need to work out their SmartPoints values and work them into your daily or weekly budget. I am on the blue plan, however on the new plan, corn is not listed anywhere. Can you please explain why, I was eating tin corn as it was free,. Hi Arlene I think corn is considered a starchy vegetable so that is probably why it is no longer on your zero point list. I'm just guessing though! For specific questions about your personal plan, why not reach out to WW themselves through the chat function on their APP - I have found them very helpful.

Best Marianne. I'm confused too as I never used the three color plans. I don't see any questionnaire here. Is there a booklet with lists of foods, etc that I can get? Hi Camilla You need to head on over to the Weight Watchers website to do the questionnaire etc.

When you sign up to them they will provide you all information that you need to follow their plan. I hope that helps. Kind regards Marianne. I find weight watchers totally confusing. Have tried to join 3 times and feel the counselors so not take enough time to explain the programs. I go home and try it on my own and give up from lack of understanding the plans. Sorry to hear that M.

Is there anything in particular that you are struggling to understand Let me know if there is anything that I could do to help. Best of luck Marianne x. It is extremely difficult as there are nomore meeting within 50miles here. And, starchy 0 point foods will make a women gain I am following the blue plan. While it is not at all WW, it has a similar algorithm that closely aligns to past plans such as Points Plus, SmartPoints, and the colored plans of recent years. While they aren't updated to the latest points yet, below are a few of our favorite lower point recipes to get you started!

These are healthy and satisfying foods that are sure to be perfect on your menu and work no matter what points program you use. I am not happy about this as the Purple plan has been working great for me and switching to another app will not cut it for me…I will no longer support WW. What they need to do is leave the app for blue, green and purple the way it is and add the new program as an option…I think people will be a lot happier this way! This option will give you something very much like purple depending upon how you answer the personal assessment.

That's how I felt when they took away Simply Filling. I had lost 52 pounds on that plan and when they took it away I gained 48 of it back. I'm so excited about the new plan. I never really liked the smart points plan. I am not happy either. I have just got my points on purple down I have been on weight watcher since Sept this is my 3 th time on weight watchers I lost lbs in and the purple is working I have lost 15 let us stay on what we know how to do. I agree!!! I'm not a quitter!!!! Just let me do green.

I want to count my points! My weight gain has already begun after two short weeks on the new plan. Reducing my list of zero point foods and changing the entire system to count points has affected my success.

I have been a WW member since and I am a lifetime member and am quite disappointed. Offering me the option to manually count points outside of WW is hurtful to say the least. I love the idea of special consideration for diabetics, but will there also be some help for those of us on a low salt diet?

From what I can see there is nothing specific for that, but your personal assessment may allow for changes that would help with specific dietary needs. I have to say, while I appreciate the personalization, I have found that if I honestly track everything I put in my mouth and move more than I did before, the weight loss is steady and sustainable. The plan was already personalized to individuals by giving different plans to choose what works for you and different points based on your weight, which is science.
